What is a personalised lunar calendar?
A personalised lunar calendar maps the Moon's 13 annual lunations (new moon to new moon cycles) against a person's natal lunar phase — the phase the Moon was in at the moment of birth. This system, modernised by astrologer Demetra George and rooted in Babylonian lunar observation (~5500 BCE), treats each lunation as a chapter in the person's year: some months are for planting seeds (new moon energy), others for harvesting results (full moon), and others for rest and release (waning and dark moon). The personal lunar return — when the Moon returns to the exact phase it held at birth — marks a monthly emotional reset point.
How does Book of Life calculate the lunar forecast?
The engine computes the natal lunar phase from the birth date (and birth time when available for greater precision), then projects 13 lunations forward from the forecast start date. For each lunation, it calculates the Moon's sign, the lunation type relative to the natal phase, and key lunar aspects to natal planets. The result is a month-by-month emotional and energetic forecast personalised to the individual.
What does the lunar report include?
